What Is Sedecordle?

Sedecordle is the warrior word challenge that takes all your favorite parts of Wordle and just throws them all to eleven! This wonderful charade is played with players solving not one but sixteen hidden word puzzles all at the same time. If you thought Wordle was addictive, just imagine the thrill of juggling several word puzzles all at once, with every successful guess getting you closer to mastering all sixteen mysterious words!

How to Play

While in Wordle you have just 6 guesses to find the single 5-letter secret word, Sedecordle players are given 21 attempts to guess that same 5-letter word, but through sixteen different variations. This game opens with the player trying to find 5 unknown letters among a 16-word vocabulary. Each right guess tells you more about the rest of the words, until finally, you figure out the underlying code that connects them all.

To control the game, you can use either your keyboard or the on-screen keyboard to type in your guesses. Press Enter or the submit button to confirm. The first guess applies to all sixteen puzzles at once; the interface will then provide color feedback on your letters: green means correct letter and position; yellow means correct letter but wrong position; gray means that the letter is not in any of the words.

• Start with strong words that will reveal common vowels and consonants being used in the sixteen puzzles, such as "SLATE," or "CRANE."
• Work on the easier boards first to gain some positive momentum and confidence-solving them will help eliminate some of the possibilities for letters to be used.
• Make your guesses count by testing out letters that could be working for several different puzzles and therefore increase your chances rather than just for the benefit of one particularly tricky board.
• Pay attention to the color clues given! Green means the letter is in the right place; yellow means in the word but the wrong place, or a very common mistake will put you off with the same game for many boards at once.
